The parts aware to-do List
Introducing Your To-Do List Isn’t the Problem. Who’s Writing It Is.
A gentle, powerful way to see which parts are running your day and bring your Self back into the lead.
Not perfect.
Not pressure-filled.
Just… calmer, softer, steadier.
What is a Parts Aware To-Do List?
This isn’t just a regular ol’ to-do list.
It’s a way to understand who is running your day.
Most to-do lists are built on pressure:
what you should do, what you have to do, what you’re already behind on.
But what if your list isn’t actually yours?
What if it’s being written by your inner team
your Perfectionist, your People Pleaser, your Achiever, your Avoider
all trying (very hard) to help you stay safe, successful, and liked?
The Parts-Aware To-Do List helps you:
Notice which parts are adding tasks to your list
Understand the fear underneath each task
Respond from your calm, grounded Self instead of pressure
Rebuild your list in a way that actually feels supportive
Instead of organizing your day by urgency…you start organizing it by awareness.
Who This Is For
This is for you if…
You make long, overwhelming to-do lists and then avoid them entirely
You feel like everything is important and urgent (and somehow all yours to carry)
You say yes to things you don’t actually have the energy for
You’re productive… but also exhausted
You’ve heard of IFS or parts work and want a practical way to use it in real life
You want to feel calmer, clearer, and in control of your day without becoming rigid or robotic
This is also for people who think:
“I don’t need another system… I need a different relationship with myself.”
How You’ll Feel After Using it
Not perfect. Not hyper-productive.
But different in a way that actually matters.
You’ll feel:
Less pressured and more grounded
Clearer about what actually matters today
Able to pause instead of react
More compassionate toward yourself (even the parts that stress you out)
Like your to-do list is something you work with, not something that chases you
And maybe most importantly…
You’ll start to feel like you are leading your day instead of being pulled through it by a dozen loud, well-meaning voices.

A Final NoteYour parts are not the problem.
They’re trying to help.
Even the ones that overwhelm you.
Even the ones that procrastinate.
Even the ones that add seventeen things to your list at 9pm.
This tool won’t silence them.
It will help you listen…
and then gently, steadily, take the lead.
Because when you know who wrote your to-do list,
you get to decide what actually belongs on it.
About the Creator
Megan Tsui | Writer, Toolmaker, & Creator of Our Parts at Work
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a business strategist, a curious inner-world explorer, and someone who refuses to use a to-do list like a weapon collide… hi. It’s me.
I’m Megan. I write about Internal Family Systems (IFS) and create tools that help people understand themselves in the middle of real life, not just in quiet moments with a journal.
Before this work, I spent over 20 years as a business consultant, helping people make decisions, take action, and build things that matter. What I’ve come to understand is this: most of the struggle isn’t about strategy. It’s about what’s happening inside.
The Parts-Aware To-Do List was born from my own experience of staring at a list that felt urgent, overwhelming, and somehow… not entirely mine. When I started asking who was adding each task, everything shifted.
Now, I create tools that bring that same awareness into everyday moments, so you can move through your life with more clarity, compassion, and Self-leadership.
My work blends insight with practicality, structure with softness, and just enough creativity to make the process feel human.
I believe you already have what you need inside you.
I just help you hear it.
When I’m not making tools or mapping parts, you’ll find me in my 1875 Victorian home, surrounded by animals, tiny art projects, and whatever feels interesting that day.
I’m really glad you’re here.
